Keeping Daniel’s Light Shining – May 2007

A High Peak family who have tirelessly fundraised for Manchester’s Christie Hospital in memory of their son handed over their latest donation recently – an amazing £16,000.

Daniel Shacklock was just 20 years old when he passed away from leukaemia in 1995. Following his death, his parents decided to honour his memory in the best way they knew how – by raising money to help the Adult Leukaemia Unit (ALU) where he was treated.
